My View

All day yesterday was spent on the computer setting up my blog. Today I need to hit the sewing machine. A few posts back Sew Cindy showed the spectacular desert view she has from her sewing room window. It started me thinking about what all of us see as we create and how maybe it influences how we do it. Outside my window it's winter white for many months in a row with only the birds at the feeder for brief shots of colour. I wonder if where we live and what we see effects our colour choices. I know at this time of year bright cheerful spring florals are calling out to me.

My First Post

It's wonderful to have a first something, a new beginning, a fresh start.

Though this is my first post of my first blog I come to blogland not for the first time. I've waited for hi-speed before I took the plunge so for the past year or more I've already travelled through this very special place.

A place where I have made friends in a community like no other. A worldwide community that's friendly, kind and supportive. A gathering of like minded people who share their crafts and skills willingly with others so we can all become more creative and be inspired to learn and try new things. We all benefit - we all get to grow.

And so, I am here to join in. My little blog will share aspects of my life that may interest some of you. A little quilting, gardening, stitching, bird watching and other stuff maybe some new firsts and new friendships.

I hope so.
